About The Author
Terri S. Lee was born and raised in the Waikato. She is the mother of two lovely daughters, Jade and Katie, and recently became grandmother to a beautiful baby girl named Flora. She currently lives in the rural North Island with her youngest daughter and a menagerie of pets, where she enjoys working close to the land whenever she's not working on her next book.
Ms Lee was inspired to start writing by her love of reading to her own daughters as they grew, combined with witnessing the positive impact that stories could have on the health and wellbeing of young minds. When her youngest daughter, Katie, was dealing with a long-term childhood illness, stories were the best way to take her mind off the pain. They let her relax for a while, laugh, and indulge her imagination in silly adventures when her body wasn't strong enough to join in.
Later, she discovered that illustrating was also rewarding, so Ms Lee embarked on a mad adventure of her own: To make her stories available for other families to enjoy.
The Maisey Daise stories are her first venture into the world of children's literature. They follow the antics of a mischievous little girl named Maisey as she learns, plays, and explores the world around her, with colourful, hand-drawn artwork and vivid storytelling.
